Plant Operations Manager

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and organized Plant Operations Manager to lead overall operations of our five million gallon lube oil re-refining plant in Chester, SC. As a Plant Operations Manager, you will work with the Plant Manager and CEO to oversee the distillation and clay filtration operations. You will also manage Shift Operators and Mechanics. Additional tasks of the Plant Operations Manager include: • Optimizing the throughput and quality of re-refined lube oils, fuels and other products • Managing incoming and outgoing logistics for feedstock and finished products • Managing resources such as labor, spare parts and consumables Job Responsibilities As a Plant Operations Manager, you will oversee Mechanical, Regulatory and Environmental (MRE) integrity and compliance such as electrical and mechanical processes, safety, environmental compliance and related training. Additional responsibilities of the Plant Operations Manager include: • Planning, scheduling and managing timely performance of daily, weekly and yearly maintenance • Developing, organizing, and maintaining all operational and maintenance records • Training new and existing personnel Job Requirements As a Plant Operations Manager, you must be able to train, lead and motivate a team of employees. Additional requirements for the Plant Operations Manager include: • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field required; higher degree a plus • Minimum 5 years experience with chemical or petroleum process plant operations management • Strong computer skills • Preference given to candidates with experience in a re-refining facility and familiarity with used oil collection, processing and polishing or upgrading Benefits We offer healthcare benefits and a 401(K) retirement plan.
