Hiring Project Manager for Birmingham. AL

We have a need for a Project Manager with one of our clients to be based in Birmingham, AL. The position can be on contract or W2.

EDUCATION - DIPLOMAS REQUIRED:      Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field

LANGUAGES: English 100%; Spanish a plus

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

·      7+ years professional experience with at least 3 years in project management

·      +2 years additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree

·      Experience In the Banking Industry

·      Strong influencing skills and ability to interact with senior management

·      Experience delivering large infrastructure projects

·      Understanding of release management processes

·      Experience working with many cross functional teams

·      Experience with Agile software development methodologies

·      Project Management experience developing and managing WBS, schedules, scope, budgets, resource plans, issues, risks and change requests

·      Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment

·      Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes.

·      Solid interpersonal skills - can establish good interpersonal relationships and communicate well with teams.

·      Scrum Master certification very much preferred, but not mandatory

JOB DESCRIPTION (RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, AND OTHER SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE POSITION): 

As a Project Manager /Scrum Master, you will be responsible for delivering digital and innovation projects using the Agile/ Scrum Methodology.

·      Coordinate project team that ranges from Product manager and Business Analyst to developers and other stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT Security, etc.).

·      Familiarity with SCRUM and SCRUM processes, including but not limited to facilitating scrum planning sessions, daily standups, and removing escalations for the team.

·      Work with project sponsors and product owners to create stories around business benefits, business requirements, and project scope

·      Proactive approach and communicate status to stakeholders effectively

·      Manage changes against project schedule, scope and cost, as well as lead the assessment of impact on the larger portfolio of projects

·      Successfully manage project dependencies and constraints

·      Build partnerships across organizational, departmental, and geographical boundaries

·      Consultancy approach to your work

·      Team leadership and ability to inspire and motivate

·      Positive team player who seeks the collective success of the team

·      Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills

·      Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints.

·      Experience with mobile banking a plus.
