About the Enterprise Solutions Consulting Practice

The Enterprise Solutions Consulting Practice is built on the philosophy of converging Business and IT strategy. We do not believe that strategy can be discreetly packaged by functional areas such as Marketing or Operations or IT in an increasingly digitized world. IT has and will largely become integral to the execution of any strategy and our client is uniquely positioned to bridge divergent positions that organizations may have between business and IT functions.

The E-Business Solutions group forms a specific services area that is focused on delivering solutions, predicated on this philosophy. We work with business groups and help them articulate a problem statement, map out a viable competitive position and craft solutions to deliver optimized returns on an investments.

Job Description

Selected candidates will be responsible for defining e-business solutions for clients. This will typically entail the following responsibilities:

• Provide presales support for initial positioning and pitch for Solutioning around Online, Social and Mobile channels
• Participate in the preparation and delivery of proposals around these aras
• Lead consulting engagements to create specific solutions in these areas
• Assess maturity and capabilities across the areas of e-marketing, e-commerce, customer service, customer relationship management and analytics of customers or potential customers in these areas and identify gaps and potential Solutioning opportunities
• Assess and address change management needs that will be required to support (or may result from) new solution
• Define a solution strategy and realization roadmap based on business and technical factors, competitive positioning and implementation risk
• Development of Cost and ROI models for proposed solutions

Candidates must have a strong background in Online, Mobile solutions and must have a mix of business, consulting, technical, and relationship management skills. Individuals should be comfortable working in teams as well as individually.

Candidates may work virtually from the office location; relocation is not required. However candidates will need to travel domestically for consulting assignments. (Some international travel may also be required.)

General Requirements

• Functional-techno background with 7+ years of related experience. Prior consulting experience is strongly preferred.
• A management and engineering degree from a top 10% academic institution is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to influence managers and executives.
• General business acumen and understanding of the role of technology in business transformation and increased operational efficiency
• Facilitation, conflict management, and consensus building skills
• Methodical, thoughtful approach to problem solving
• High energy, self motivated and independent – self starters

Specific Requirements

• Experience working in the online and social/mobile areas of operations
• Appreciation of business drivers for each of these channels (Online, Mobile, Social channels)
• Up to date with the business trends for each of these channels – not just technology trends, but also business trends
• Candidate should have depth and experience working with/creating solutions for two or more of the following areas: e-commerce, digital marketing, self-service, multi-channel integration, CRM/customer lifecycle management and online metrics/analytics
• Solid knowledge and experience in at least 2 of the following web/e-business tools and technologies: commerce, search, web content management, web analytics, portals.
• Ability to bring structure to an unstructured solution environment by articulating a framework based approach to developing a solution approach
• Experience running standard facilitation and interviewing sessions for groups of 3-10 participants. He or she should be articulate and have the ability to work with diverse functional and hierarchical groups and drive convergence of vision and viewpoints
• Possess excellent analytical skills and be able to sieve through large and often conflicting data to develop key insights
• Possess clear understanding of financial statements and be able to convert business opportunities and solutions to objective business case presentations (investments and returns)
• Quick learner, has to have the ability to walk into unrelated domains to assess as-is state, to-be needs and re-use best practices from across multiple industries to craft the most appropriate solution
• Experience working in one of the following industries: CPG, BFS, Retail, Media, Travel & Hospitality industries
• Passionate about technology and its ability to transform businesses
• Prior experience managing small groups of people
• Experience with outsourcing and distributed global team environment is preferred.
