Hiring CFO in Houston, TX

Our client is a global leader in Turnkey/EPC Projects in the field of Power Transmission.
They are looking for a CFO in Houston, TX.

The CFO is the strategic and tactical advisor responsible for the organization’s overall financial plans and policies along with its accounting practices and the conduct of its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders and the financial community.

Essential Functions:
·         Develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
·         Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
·         Ensure the organization's activities follow sound financial principles and comply with all banking
regulations.
·         Provide recommendations to President/CEO and Board for financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources and developing action plans.
·         Maintain a highly qualified staff, sufficient to meet long-term organizational goals.
·         Ensure security and soundness of all financial records, reviewing all general ledger accounts and subsidiaries monthly to ensure proper balancing and review cash position daily to ensure sufficientavailability of funds.
·         Achieve or exceed results as specified in the organization's budget for investments.
·         Achieve total returns at or above peer group when including unrealized gains and losses.
·         Complete projects as determined by President/CEO within the prescribed time frame.

Qualifications and Requirements: 
·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred
·         10+ years of related experience, with 5 years of senior management level experience.
·         Broad financial background to include operational controls and banking relations, with manufacturing industry experience preferred. Exposure to SAP based syatem an advantage.
·         Analytical techniques and proven analytical abilities that drives results.
·         Exceptional communication (written and oral), presentation, listening and negotiation skills
·         Open and honest communication both internally and externally
·         Team-first attitude, easy to work with, willing to share and learn

Special Requirements:
·         Up to 25% domestic travel
