Head - Business Development Valves - Houston TX

Our client is a technology, engineering, manufacturing, construction and financial services conglomerate. Their consolidated turnover exceeds USD 14 billion. It is engaged in key sectors  of  the  economy  Infrastructure,  Hydrocarbon,  Power,  Defense, Aerospace, Construction, Shipbuilding, Electrical & Automation, Mining and Metallurgy.

Our client's valve manufacturing subsidiary provides flow-control solutions to a wide spectrum of industries worldwide. The company has an impressive track record in the international Oil & gas sector and Power sector



The company has three modern manufacturing plants that are equipped with modern CNC machines, testing facilities, with proven capability to offer engineered solutions. One of these facilities is N and NPT stamp approved by ASME. It has a well established R&D facility capable of design and development of valves and flow control equipment using advanced 3D design software.

They offer a wide range of valves, comprising Gate, Globe and Check valves, Process and Pipeline Ball valves, High Pressure valves for Power & Nuclear Industry, Butterfly valves including the Triple-offset metal seated Butterfly valves. It is making an entry into Control valves segment by developing control valves for Power industry in one of their manufacturing units.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To establish our client's valves as a major provider of Flow control products in Americas, establish the marketing and sales network in major regions of the continent, network with major end users and contractors and industry stake holders, to achieve the targeted growth in the market.

Experience
15 to 20 years, experience in developing business, managing a team with proven record of delivering performance on agreed
parameters.
Should have established extensive networks in the Oil
& Gas, Power sector and with other major Valve users and distributors.
 

 Responsibilities:



o   Develop the Americas markets and achieve the Order inflow and Sales targets for the region by developing a strong network of sales team and distributors.
o   To develop strategies for sales promotion and implement it.
o   To work out short term and long term forecasts for the region.
o   Daily management of the sales channels.
o   Provide training, both product and selling to our channel partners.
o   Develops, maintains profiles for clients (end users, licensers representatives and E&C firms).
o   Provide Management with monthly Regional reports
o   Prepares and submits for approval an annual operating budget and operates within it.
o   Provide Market intelligence and pricing recommendations
§  Work closely with product Management to drive the growth of all products within the                                    region.
§  Provide technical assistance to customers on an as needed basis.
Take ownership of major projects within the region providing overall strategy to win the business. 

Experienced Desired:



·         Leadership gravitas and the ability to "earn" a seat on the leadership team as a respected member, who has the all-round capacity to contribute in business issues as much as presenting and leading discussions on strategic issues.
·         Should have the experience of interacting with customers in North and South America and well networked with the key decision makers in the Power and Oil & Gas companies in the region.
·         Should have good business acumen & Business Development skills. Ability to establish strong local partners in the region for securing business with proven track record.
·         Excellent oral (public speaking) and written communication skills.
·         Should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
·         Should have strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
·         Should possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Must be able to manage the subordinates within the organization and external interface.
